Post-Doctoral Teaching Associate in Environmental Hydrogeology
The Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (UT) invites applications for a full-time, Post-doctoral Teaching Associate position in Environmental Hydrogeology starting August 1, 2019. The position is initially for 1 year (9 month appointment with pay and benefits distributed over 12 months). Prospects for renewal are very good. The successful candidate will be expected to teach environmental and/or physical geology at the 100-level, as well as upper division undergraduate- and graduate-level courses in Hydrogeology. They will also be encouraged to participate in the department’s undergraduate Environmental Studies program, to collaborate on research projects, and to work on their own research. Located in East Tennessee, close to Oak Ridge National Laboratory and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, UT is the State’s flagship research institution. The Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences is housed in a new, state-of-the art building, and is comprised of an energetic group of tenure-track and research faculty, post-doctoral associates, and over 150 graduate and undergraduate students.
